I have to do some digging now.. Either the XB or XC were originally designed and rejected for the US market. I’m thinking it was the XB because we were all about “Personal Luxury” by time the XC came about.

I still think the 70-71 Torino and 71-73 Mustang carried the “Sportsroof” look better.
